Gemballa shocks.
I have been offered some as new Gemballa shocks and springs from a 96 TT that was sold. The previous owner wanted it back to stock as part of the deal. So I can nick these. They have double springs and apparantly are not as hard as the RS suspension but are stiffer without being OTT.
My cars done 67K'ms on the stock, original shocks, so this might be a worthy upgrade? They are still shiny and have the Gemballa signature on them, whatever that means.
Anyone know anything about them?
Thanks guys

Please understand that my comments are just a GUESS, based on what Ruf does.
Ruf sells their own suspension kit, including "Ruf" shocks. Now... Ruf is NOT a shock manufacturer, rather, they take the Bilstien PSS-9 kit, and modify the valving and change the spring rates to their own liking. I find the Ruf set-up to be superior to the PSS-9 (yes, I've had both).
My suspicion is that Gemballa does something similar. It will be very hard to get any actual data on the Gemballa setup... but if the price is right, it may certainly be worth taking the risk.

I have the Gemballa suspension and love the ride. great for street and track. very similar to pss9. I was told it has H&R shocks with Gemballa stickers. Make sure it is set up right. your shocks (original) are worn out.

^^ Did Gemballa revalve these the way Roock Racing used to do with their H&R- based stuff? Or, for that matter, the way RUF still does with Bilstein and Manthey does with KW?
Ooops ... just noticed Steve's post ... sorry.

Thanks guys. Yeah I know my stock, original scabby old shocks need replacing.
I'm getting a bit of wobble in the corners at speed. If I can grab these I will, but the shipping from Hong Kong might put a dampner on things.
Will post what happens.
Thanks
