Default Need a new rear axle.

Apparently there aren't many in the Porsche dealership network. Actually only 1 according to Sunset. Part number 99333202412. I only need one but would like to replace both. Anyone have a source for these or a replacement unit? Sunset cost is $460 plus shipping each.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

I would stick with oem unless you want to upgrade The upgraded aluminum ones are very $$$ though. What happened to the old axel?

Not sure exactly what happened. The car is at the shop in Orlando. Biz partner found an issue while he was putting in new wheel bearings.

Then its not the "axel" per se its the probably the cv joint? You can look into a rebuild or see if porsche sells a rebuild kit. Either way I'm sure you find just replacing that axel and calling it a day. No need to replace the other one unless it needs it.

I don't know the details but for sure its the axle. Your right though, either way its easiest to just put in a new one. I bought the last one in the the US and ordered one from germany to keep as back up.

Correct on the part number number its -13 now.

Custom cage going in next week. I'm looking to copy the 993 cup cage. If anyone has pictures let me know. Considering doing the nascar doors but not sure yet. I like the idea of having rsa panels in the doors.

BTW, what's everyone's thoughts re keeping in the headliner or taking out? I'm thinking out.
