Default Where is the most common leak?

If it's not coming from the valve covers, is there a sender unit somewhere on top? The small ammounts are landing on top of the RHS muffler after making it's way from just above the Turbo oil line. It's a tiny drip, but just enough to have to keep the engine tray on.
I have cleaned and looked and it's definatley coming from above somewhere.
I can get the use of a hoist tommorrow so i'd love to have a good look.
Sometimes it also makes it's way to the LHS as well, but not on the muffler.
I have searched and found nothing really.
Thanks

Are you sure it is not leaking from the power steering resevoir?

I will have a look around the power steering resevoir, but I don't think that's where it's coming from.
The timing chain covers also looked OK from what I could see. I will just have to get it on a hoist and have a really good poke around.
It won't be much whatever it is though.

Did you add any oil recently? A little spillage at the filler neck or the cap not seated properly are possible sources (don't ask). Hopefully its one of the simple things...

If it is power steering fluid, there is a small rubber vent cap on the filler for the reservoir. It is easy to inadvertantly knock it off when removing the oil dipstick and then the fluid sloshes out during spirited driving.

Ain't that the truth!
It's not power sterring fliud, it's definatley engine oil.......I think
It gathers around the Turbo on the RHS. Maybe it's coming from the Turbo.
That'd **** me right off. I never got to the hoist last weekend so this weekend I will take off the muffler to free up some more room to have another look.
There is a heat sheild over some of the bolts on a valve cover that I should take off as well.
A drop also makes it's way to the middle of the engine as well.
I reckon it's coming from above somewhere.
Ahhhhh, TT ownership.

Read the sticky post on turbo failure, you may just need to change your small oil filter.

I have already changed the small filter. I did use an OEM one too.
It will be something small but I'm going to find it........eventually.
