Alfred,
I "believe" that in the USA, the Turbo S had different programming in the ECU, had a small aux oil cooler, and was rated at 424 HP. In Europe and elsewhere, it also came with different turbo units and was rated at 450 HP. I think also that the 450 is metric HP, and is not exactly the same as SAE HP. As you can see, I'm not positive, but trying to be helpful.

Alfred, Steve is 100% correct about the US version, not sure about the Euro TTS. It's only two mechanical upgrades, small aux oil cooler located under the bumper (holds 1.5 quarts more than the non-turbo s) and the ECU is programmed different than the non Turbo S. However, the Aero package on the TTS claims to keep the engine running cooler due to the wing design.

However, there are more cost efficient solutions today. I think Kevin at UMW has one of the more attractive solutions today. I'm sure there are others also.

If you can spare a little more dough, the RS-tuning 520hk kit seems very promising. High quality kit that has been well tested and delivers great power and tq to boot:

I have a factory u.s. spec "S" ECU for sale. (am looking to swap for stock '97 ecu +$$ - as I have purchased K24's and looking to re program but don't want to throw away the 430hp ecu)
