I'm curious, why not urethane?

Rik,
If interested, here is a little "light reading" on the replacement bushings. Many pages in the thread and posts by people who have done the swap.

Oh, and I think Gert Carnewal is the Euro distributor for these.
EDIT: I just checked, Gert has them for 75 Euro on his site.

I've always gotten squeaking sooner or later with urethane. I also believe that Porsche put all those convoluted channels in the bushings for a reason.

Ah, OK... well, if you haven't you should check out the thread I linked earlier. That issue appears to have been resolved.

Thanks for the link to the suspension bushing thread. As it happens, Gert lives only an hour from my place. That would be an excellent excuse for a drive to his place. That's were I got my RSR mufflers for the 993 Turbo as well.

Regards,
Rik

I read the whole thing and it's great as far as it goes. It doesn't address whether they'll squeak down the road a year or two.

Agreed, though Chris W. did some long term testing it's hard to say what will happen years down the road.
I am giving it a go.

Good luck with it. I've had two cars with squeaky urethane bushings despite infinite attempts to grease them. The resultant noise made squeaky brakes seem like Renee Russo whispering in your ear!
