Default RUF 1998 BTR Turbo conversion on Craigslist

What do you guys think of the price? It has a lot of Ruf upgrades. I'm not to sure about the targa top but to each his own. I almost put that much in my 96 993TT Turbo R conversion this year. But I love my Ruf...

since it started as a targa price is probably about right. I recall the targa adds a lot of weight, and rattles at high speeds, but nice idea.

Its a beautiful, low mileage car. Its very hard to peg a price of Rufs because they are all a bit different and all quite rare.

A 1998 Targa is a very rare car to begin with. This is indeed one of a kind. Wonder who did the conversion? Hoping it's Weissach in BC.

Interesting that it is a BTR too. Wonder if a BTR is more or less desireable than a Turbo R. Depends on the buyer, I guess. BTR: single turbo 420 hp, turbo kicks in like a freight train. Turbo R: twin turbo 500 hp, turbo smoothly kicks your @ss. BTRs are not as available.

And Marvin's fetched a good price.

Who knows.

I think its too much. I would prefer a Turbo conversion. The targa starting point I dont know. Not one of my preferred starting places for a RUF. A cab would be worse but a coupe' would be better.
Patrick I would like the twin turbo RUF. the BTR truly takes a MAN to drive.
What ever it is this market just wont support that price. Think about it. Right now
997 Twin turbos are sinking below 100K. Would you not pony up a couple more
10Ks to get a 07 997 TT as opposed to a car with a questionable history and
future worth? OR sit on the market and find a better 993 RUF at Better price.
That ones just a different car.

Marvin's fetched a good price because I just had to have it. New seats and I am good to go.

I think both are awesome, but so very different. I like the clean look of the BTR, but that wide *** on a Turbo R is undeniable.

Yes, but you weren't the only interested party! You were just the lucky one! And that is a one-of-a kind car.

What seats?

I am a big guy and the Konig seats don't fit me. Ruf has some sport seats we are going to swap.

As a side note, the value of my car was also pushed upward because of the complete rebuild.

Hamilton,

Too bad they don't fit... they are great seats. I have the GENERIC Konig seats... I would have killed for a set of Ruf seats (same, but with the RUF logo). Dang.
