I would love to buy this car. The timing is just off for me. I wish it were spring 2009, I would be all over this car.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I have nothing to hide about the car, and woud've taken 150 pictures If I found enough of it to photograph. The car is not overly expensive and what seems inexpensive to others. To me the price is very fair, Tasteful mods, Service records, nice options, well kept and color combo. My hours are very flexible for viewing the car. I am not desperate to sell the car.

Are you a dealer or is this a private sale?

Why did you recently reduce the price now by $8,400?

Thanks.
I had purchased this car a little over 2 years ago with 36,900 miles
Recently reduced the price by $8400? I do not follow? I just listed this car for sale on Rennlist 24 Hours ago?

^^BTW: Neat Screenname

SpoolnV8, something is just not right. On your e-Bay ad (high bid is about $47K)is says "private seller" and then on your ad with AutoTrader, it is listed as a "dealer". Your AutoTrader ad has it listed at $69,900.

I am confussed by your response.

The car is listed on Consignment at a Local Auto Dealer. He has it marked up, because well... that is his business. That is how he makes money. Any Money over $61.5 he keeps...

Understandable...?

I think it is much more attractive to buy a car from a private seller because there are no taxes. So now if it sells through the dealer the buyer will have to pay sales tax.

Are their any U.S. states that within that state charges taxes on dealer bought cars but not private parties?

This may be true in your State of Arizona, but this is not the case of Illinois, for example.

Dealers charge sales tax based on your home county. Can be as high as approx. 10%.

For private sales, the State looks at the car value. For example any car over $30k has a flat sales tax of $1,500. IIRC.

As far as being more definitive, the original poster stated that the location is "central NJ" in his original post.
