Default Turbo Intake Hose Replacment

My alignment was completed last night and the tech noticed that my turbo intake hose was badly damaged. I purchased blue silicone hose to to replace both sides. As you can see from the photo I have much more than I need.

The Porsche part # is 993 110 397 51 they go for $12.48 each at the dealer.

I will provide a pair for $10 plus $6.00 shipping within the US.

I don't think my turbo was damaged but as you can see from the photo I was very lucky. I could have destroyed them with this damaged hose. I believe the blue silicone hose is much more durable than the factory part. It took just a few minuets to replace.

PM me if you are interested

PM sent Fred... good timing. I have my engine out for a bunch of stuff and just pulled the turbos off today and added those hoses to my parts list. Now I can cross them off.
Have any exhaust studs lying around? (kidding)
Man, those things were toast...
Thanks!

Just had mine replaced while doing alignment as well. Why do these tears so easily?

I am gonna guess a little oil on the intake side weakens them.

Fred, why would you gain boost from a pre charged intake repair...

Got them, installed them and found oil film in one of the old hoses the other was bone dry...why could that be?

Both turbos were rebuilt 5,000 miles ago and there is no smoke at start up or when running.

I bet Kevin at Ultimatemotorwerks knows why.

He is one of the experts on Rennlist. I have the same issue with mine. I think that's why the original hose deteriorated.

From what I have gathered the usual suspects are Mahle oil filter, overtightened oil filter or lack of check valves...

Edit: forgot, oil overfill
