I saw a real 959, street legal federalized car being serviced at my dealer yesterday, I'll snap a few pics today when I pick my ride up. Amazing looking and sounding car in person. This guy has two of 'em!

Just to cool the 4 valve heads - which allowed them to get 450 bhp from 2.85 liters. Seems like a worthwhile "compromise"!

It sounded incredible too. My all time favorite car!
Funny, when you look at that car, you can really see where all the future 993/996/997tt's got their origins.

I saw 4 (four!) 959s at Canepa Design in Scots Valley, CA on Monday at the end of my Monterey weekend.
The mind-blowing end of a mind-blowing 5 days.

pardon the digression but while drooling over the pic above, I noticed they're using something under the jackstands, presumably to protect the floor. any idea what they're using?

Looks like a rare and special set of cloth for the almighty 959.
