saw a 959 from Colorado today
was driving home in the tt and saw a 959 with a couple in it driving packed with clothes etc. they said they drove from Colorado for fun.
anyways we don't see these on the roads here very often so I thought I would post.
I also think it is cool that they drove a 20 year old car across country. If it broke who would fix it? I am not sure I would do the same.

I mentioned that there will be quite a few at Laguna in a week and the driver didn't mention that he was going. wow seeing it in person on the street...I want one.
anybody know what current market price for these are?
there are a couple local ones here, you just don't see them driving on the street.
my idea of the perfect pcar collection: 959, 993tt, C-GT

Looks like a "nice" one is about $500K.

Looks like a replica to me as well, due to mirrors, wheels and front.
I checked out on about ten 959 last year over here in Germany, prices are in a range of 190 kEuro to 230 kEuro for cars with 15,000 to 35,000 miles. Prices are OK currently and there are some cars on the market. The problem is maintenance costs: it takes about 10,000-15,000 Euros per year at least to maintain it at Porsche Werk 1 in Stuttgart (only one who does it in Germany). And as soon as you get to spare parts... there is no limit to the sky. Rear wings for example are not on stock anymore, I know of one case where it had to be built on demand for some 25,000 Euros
I personally gave up on that issue...

Not a great pic, but the "rings" around the headlights don't appear to be as evident as on the real one. That, in addition to the wrong wheels and mirrors........I vote replica.
