Default Which aluminum valve covers?

Having discovered a big oil puddle under my darling (the wife commented: "she is menstruating badly!"; she's just jealous), I ordered the valves set from Kevin. Then I read that the plastic factory valve covers (even a beetle has metal ones!) crack after a number of years, and leak, and it is advisable to replace them with aluminum covers; the comment applied to atmo 993s, is it valid for turbos as well? If so, which ones would you recommend? Surfing the net, I found covers at $499 a piece on 9xAuto.com (anodized, I guess it would look cool w/o the intercooler), at $330 from Tarret Engineering, and at $310 from Harget Precision Products.
Can anybody recommend a manufacturer/supplier for these covers?

Thanks!

PS: the mechanic in the official Porsche Service Point on my South Pacific Island did not even know the factory covers are made from plastic, so I really need your help!

Default How many pieces?

By the way, how many pieces are needed? Is it 2 upper and 2 lower?

Barney, thank you very much for the insight.

The factory units are made out of plastic. The turbo also has a double layer heat shield. I would just replace the valve cover gaskets. And call it good.
