Default Seats and Brakes

Can anyone comment to if the following firm are reputable and sell as described please, as am thinking of buying a pair of seats from them:

www.dps-motorsports.com

Also, am in a quandary regards brake pads .... at present am running Pagid blacks which are doing my head in with squeaking on the road. Could go for stock pads (the safest bet), or the likes of Pagid blues. Can you informed people give any feedback on this please? I am running stock discs with Castrol SRF fluid, and do speed days with the car where repeated braking from 190mph + is required.

Kind Regards

Martyn.

Sorry no idea about DPS, but as far as pads are concerned, get the Pagid Blue for daily usage and track, no squealing, hardly any dust and very nice on rotors.

Regards

Stock pads will be the quietest and will stop effectively under stress. Downside will be more frequent replacement and pretty dusty.

My Padgid blues squeeked a lot when used for street duty. My buddies always knew when I was coming due to the noise. I did not have the spiders in place tho.

DPS/Dayton is usually pretty good, his biggest flaw is communication. Good luck if you choose to buy from him.

I bought many parts from them without issues. Their prices are very competitive as well.
Scott, aren't they the one selling your Ruf bumpers listed on Ebay?

That is very surprising. I have been using these for the last 3 years almost now and never had any noises. I either use them in the rear alone with black in the front or on the four sides. There are two types of blue pads which ones do you have? They are so great that I never considered changing street or track, they are also very gentle on the discs, in my car at least.

Thanks for the feedback all, much appreciated

Will shoot on the seats with DPS, am going for a set of 997 GT2 reclining buckets. Going to fit yellow seat belts in the front too.

Ordered Pagid RS 4-2 blue pads also.

Remember that the GT2 seats don't recline, they just fold forward.

Jean I don't have them anymore, so I'm not sure what exact number they were. I ran them front and rear on the track and the street. They were dandy at the track but I never could get them to stop squealing.

Hi Jean. I will be looking into brake pads soon. Can you describe the two different blue pagid and perhaps their respective model number so I get the right ones....thanks!

Jaime, sorry just realized that you asked me a question thanks to TB for linking to this thread!

he two different ones are the RS 4-2 and the RS 5 if my memory still serves me. The RS 4-2 is the one I use most of the time, carbon based and not an all out race pad, but still has very decent bite, they are nice on the discs and I have no squeeking at all, dust is limited to the first few miles and/or during track events, for daily usage they are clean. The RS-5 are more race oriented.

I suggest you search the pagid website for more technical info, but this is my experience with them.
