Default Fabspeed Motorsport's *New* Supercup Exhaust & Sportcats/Catbypass Pipes

Fabspeed Motorsport 993TT Supercup Exhaust

Fabspeed Motorsport now has a newly developed performance system for all Porsche 993Twin Turbo cars. This is a cat-back Supercup Exhaust system that replaces any and all Porsche 993 TT rear mufflers. This system features all 2.5"/63.5mm tubing for optimum flow and maximum power. System comes with tips or with extensions so you can re-install factory 993TT tips. 993TT "S" factory tips cannot be installed. This system is 25 lbs. lighter than the stock muffler (Stock 36.5 lbs. – Fabspeed 11.5 lbs. = 25 lbs.); and increases the aggressive note of the Twin Turbo vehicle.

Also for the 993TT, we have discontinued our one-piece 200 cell sportcat/catbypass pipes and we now offer a modular 200 cell Sportcat/catbypass which enables aquick and easy change between the catalytic converter and catbypass section.

993TT equipped with Fabspeed Motorsport's Supercup Exhaust and 200 cell catalytic converters.

All products are in stock and ready to ship. Please email info@fabspeed.com or call Fabspeed Motorsports directly at 215-646-4945 for more information regarding performance products for your 993TT vehicle.

Sorry, I don't get it. Why is this better than your Muffler Bypass Pipes? Seems like the same thing only weighing, what, 10 times as much?

I think it's better cats/tubing, etc. Sounds awsome, probably the best souding turbo I've ever heard, as I said on 6 speed.

Hi Chris,

I don't think the "mufflers" include any CATs. I think that bulge is supposed to provide some muffling effect maybe? I see no way of supporting all that mass on any of the muffler mounts on the car. It seems a bit too heavy to just be held on with a doughnut and a clamp (IMHO). Also, that video says it was added in June of 2007. That's a year old. Is it a video of the above muffler? I think it might be their older muffler with CAT bypass pipes.

I do think the modular Cat bypass is a great idea. Hopefully it'll fit better now that it's in 3 pieces.

I think the lower pic is the new modular system with the HJS cats, the top one is the version he made in 2007. I remember that one when I was at their shop last yr. That 'buldge' is in fact a hjs cat, ala the 997tt system.

OK. But if it is a CAT back system, then aren't you running two CATs. I also don't see any O2 bung on the "muffler" system.

The muffler system does not include a "cat" but instead a resonator of the same size. The system is not as aggressive as the muffler bypass pipes but rather a balance between being "loud & proud" and the stock muffler.

I stand corrected. But the thread does say '200 cell cat' several times.

TT Surgeon, I also included a picture presentation of our new modular sportcat/catbypass pipe which does include a 200 cell catalytic converter.

MD11PLT, here is a view of the new Maxflo mufflers installed on a Turbo utilizing the stock tips.

Do you have a current sound clip of this setup?

What are the dimensions (width and length) of the resonator? I have a tt in a 964 body so I have fender clearance issues. Looks promising for me.

That clip appears to have been added June 2007.

However, the title of the thread says *New* Maxflo Mufflers.....
