Steve,

I wish you all the very best... you better be ready to put some more miles on RUFUS. I look forward to visiting you at the new Casa de Gatos.

Steve,

Sorry to hear about your divorce.

We are very glad to have another great 993 enthusiast in our midst. We definitely need to do a BBQ when you get up here!

Good luck and best regards,
Hal

Steve,

It'll be great to see your car in the flesh, I have used it as my PC wallpaper in the past. Welcome to Nor Cal, you'll love Santa Cruz. I'm a bit biased as it is my alma mater, such a relaxing laid back town to retire in. Good luck and I hope Pong has a BBQ to welcome you soon.

Steve
Welcome to Central Calif.I will finally get to see Rufus in person!!I am right across the Bay in Monterey. If you need any help with anything ,just ask.I am an OLD retired Fart as well
Are you going to relocate on the Santa Cruz side of Hi Way 17 or the Los Gatos Side?
Once you get settled in,we will have to get Pong ,Terry, myself and others to do a drive on some of the great backroads in this area

Steve -

On behalf of the nitwits in the Santa Cruz county area (actually I'm jussssst over the line into Monterey County, but my mail comes from the Watsonville (SC county) Post Office, so it's cool, dude...), I'd like to welcome you to the true California paradise. We don't all wear Birkenstocks (but it's cool if you do), and the "Keep Santa Cruz Weird" bumper stickers aren't really the best for our 993s (put it on your Subaru), but almost all of the 959s in the US have been through Bruce Canepa's shop, there are roads that look like they were used for some of the great Porsche 993 posters, we grow most of the Strawberries for the United States, and we have the best music on the planet (KPIG radio 107oink5 out of Freedom, CA). You'll find that you tend to tell yourself "life is good" a whole lot more - especially as you watch the sun sink into Monterey Bay.

Looking forward to growing the Porsche stable on the better side of the hill (my apologies to my Santa Clara County brethren)!

Now you're close to Laguna Seca and much closer to Thunder Hill, no more excuses!

Congrats on the move. As a close friend to quite a few "slugs", I spent a great bit of time travelling from Arcata down to Santa Cruz....beautiful country and I don't think you can beat those driving roads. I am extremelly jealous!!

Thanks for all the nice replies. I am very, very excited to be moving up there... my ex-wife would never hear of the move. My new house is brand new, and is in the heart of Santa Cruz (Water & Branciforte, for those that know the area.

I got the builder to paint the garage interior and put an epoxy finish on the floor. He will also supply a matching, side-by-side fridge.

Here are a couple of pictures:

So is the fridge for the garage so you can have some cool ones while you spend time with Rufus?

Thanks Scott. I think it is... if you count the "assist" that you get from the hookers.

Scott - Too funny, I guess it's just you and me now. Everything we have done for the poor guy and he leaves us with a smile on his face .

Steve - the new place looks nice! I can see the look on your neighbors faces as you fire up Rufus, it's not going to be pretty . I think it's muffler time. Do we at least get one last drive/meeting together. Good luck my friend.
