I have put this on a separate thread, but continuing the ttS chat, here is the 911 & P World article from '98:
You will notice that the author thinks the car is 50kg lighter than a stock 993tt - this was a typical journo error at the time borne from the press pack extolling the virtues of the 50kg lighter 4WD system - but they meant 50kg lighter than the 964 C4 system hence the same as a non S tt

This car is a Euro S which had the 450PS K24 engine (hence the turbo lag comments) and the stiff $16K chassis package...

I especially like the photos as they are the Techart wheels made by OZ Racing 8.5 and 11 x 18 that I am refinishing for my 964 widebody project. My centers are polished not painted, but that can easily be rectified. I also had wider rims made so now my wheels are 8.75 and 11.75. Great look --great car and thanks for getting the article posted.
