I bought porsche filters from the dealer and brought them to my tech. He laughed at me saying I overspent and that his aftermarkets were the same without the porsche boxes. Should I find a new tech? I have no oil leak issues!

This happened to me too. First one leaks then both. If you have only one upgraded you will put pressure on the other one and shorted whats left of its life. Best to send in both to Kevin and get them either rebuilt or best of all UPGRADED!!!!
Good Luck Tom and HAPPY Modding!!

Hey, Paul. I think you still owe me pics of the CF spoiler on that beast!

My big problem right now is not knowing exactly what, if anything, is wrong. I don't want to spend 10 Gs on stuff I don't need (but REALLY want) if I don't need to (buying a house don't you know). I think I'll just let it play out for a while and see what happens.

Can I break anything bad by doing that?

Ok I will get a photo up ASAP. I dont think you have any probable damage unless oiling your intercooler.

NICE!!! Paul. If I ever make it down to LA again, maybe you can pick me up at the airport.

So how much oil is acceptable? Let's say I spend all weekend cleaning it out and a week later there is a film of oil, or worse, in the hose again (I assume it's in both hoses if it's in the IC).

Any tips on getting it out of the IC if it is indeed in there?

I switched the Mahles for OEM's and presto no more smoke. The first guy put the Mahles on in the fall when I first got the car and before I stored it. The 2nd guy in the spring argued that the Mahles are better than OEMs and all TT's smoke. Go figger.
