Default Help Please (very weird)

I purchased a set of aluminum face gauges and installed them Sunday. Those combined with the carbon fiber I installed look absolutley awesome. However, when the car is shut off the area in the bottom of the tach glows with a faint orange light. I marked all the wires and am sure I hooked them up correctly. In fact the tach is only one plug. The boost readout seems to work fine. At first I thought it was just a reflection because it was very faint. I went out to the garage in the dark last night and I could see it is lit up for sure.
Any ideas out there?
Thanks,
Len

Hey Barney, has your tach always done it? I'd only driven the car twice before I changed the gauges and I don't remember the black face gauge staying lit. In fact I don't recall the boost readout showing in the black gauge. The boost readout works fine in the silver gauge but that orange background stays lit. I wonder if one has something to do with the other???

The OBC display stays on for a few minutes after the car is shut off.

Doesn't the OBC display turn off when the car is locked?

I'll take some pictures tonight.
This thing has stayed lit for two days so far. I did try locking the car to see if it would go off. No luck...still glowing. Any other ideas???
Thanks,
Len

The same thing happened to mine and the wrench sent it out to a instrument repair shop and it's been good to go ever since.

Did the wrench tell you what was wrong with the gauge? So it seems this has happened to a few of you guys. Since I only drive the car on weekends, I was wondering if this will drain the battery? Anybody notice that?
I will try to post some of the pictures next. Wish me luck never did it before.

Ok, If this works??? you will see a picture of the ghostly glow. It looks much brighter in the picture than in real life.

We'll I thought about putting "Porsche" in there but figured that was even more obvious.
Maybe I should have done "Porsch-ah" for my friends that still say Poorsh. Oh, sorry I don't want to start that whole discussion again.
