That 3.5 is one beautiful BMW. I love the clean lines in and out, just like the early 911.

No, that car WON'T be cheap! What a beauty. Absolute BEAUTY!

See this is my problem. I look for a turbo, then I get sidetracked on a CS then THAT starts me thinking of a 330GTC and THAT reminds me of a 280SL and then I have to have a glass of wine.

BTW, I'm tripped up on the "3.5" part, is that an engine upgrade or did I miss the last chapter in CS class?

I share your disease. I sold a pristine 67 250SL last summer. Have missed it ever since. Now I have 2 993's. What to get next, what to get next?

Any 993 you buy turbo or non, the chances you taking it to the sport bike roads and having it feel better than your wifes 997 are nil.
Most 993s will have the stock suspension so the shocks are probably shot even on the turbos the monroe
OEM lasted 10k miles. You need to find a car with a PSS9 upgrade and even then I dont think it will come up to two generation newer 911. Modern automotive advances make the 997 chassis much better than a 993 and its much stiffer. You are probably going to chase your tail on this one. Your best chance at getting the road feel is a 996 GT3 probably. The 993TT is going to be a hoot if you mod it up to 450 HP but you will be working over time on the suspension. The car is heavy so you will have to undertake a huge wieght loss program and have to even go more aggressive than PSS9s to get the handling you want or what you said you want. Something like Motons which will compromise your street ride.
If you want BIG accelleration and obliterate people on the hiway the 993TT is a GREAT car. but
for sport bike feel you need something else.

Knowledgeable, practical advice, that.

I think I need to try wailing on my wife's 997 when she's not in the car.
