Looks like a real one. They were built by Porsche for a German dealer and use the 965's single turbo engine. Has surely been covered before - do a search. Price seems a tad optimistic; it's worth what someone's willing to pay.

That car has been for sale for several years and is getting more and more expensive. Why oh why do people who are struggling to sell a car put the price up?

Is it just me or does it look out of balance with that huge wing on a NB cabriolet?

Just because it is rare, it does not make it desirable!
IMO it is a total Frankenstein's monster with looks to match.
Even Porsche drops a turd in the punchbowl every now and again.

Agreed!

I thought the 993 turbo cab in Total 911 mag (April issue) had the normal 993 turbo tail?
I don't have the issue at the moment but I think I would have remembered that tail.
Must be a different rare turbo cab. The story on the one in Total 911 was pretty interesting.

These cars had been discussed before. I have seen this car discussed too. IIRC there were variations between the different ones made. I also recall some used 964 running gear and had a TT engine.

I would do a search and double check the facts there is a fair amount of info floating around here somewhere.

Mark I bought the last issue of Total 911 that discussed this last week. The tail is not the stock 993TT tail but rather the 965 turbo S tail. It looks out of place on that NB cab IMHO but that's just me..

Actually that is the 1992 turbo S Lightweight tail vs the 1994 turbo S Flachbau tail and IIRC this is one of the cars that used 964 running gear with 993 body parts.

BTW I agree 100% doesn't work on that body at all.

Really? Huh. I'd have sworn it was a tt tail in the Total 911 mag.
My memory isn't what it used to be... and that was less than a month ago.

I picked up the issue a few days ago and just sat down to read it. The tail looks like the one's used on the Flat Nose Turbo S. It is in between a 964 Turbo and a 993 TT's tail. It even said that the engine was similar to the Turbo S's. What was interesting was that it even mentions the Ebay car for sale in France. So I guess that the car is eternally for sale....

Not sure if this helps. The car in the add uses the 1992 turbo S tail, the silver cars are 1992 turbo S lightweights that were never imported into the US The flachbau tail looks like the one I posted on the black car. This was also used on the turbo S package cars that were the same as the flachbau without the sloped nose. The 94 Turbo S tail was the largest (surface area) of any single piece tail used on a turbo.
