Was no way was going to brake for the right hand corner and make it! I used the whole run off area right to the grass bank to slow down, the laser beams seemed a little further down than usual and it reduced the braking distance a bit. Was quite heart pounding braking down each time, am running stock callipers / discs with Pagid pads and uprated brake fluid. But the car did brake very well and was comfortably down to walking pace by the end of the run off area.

You should come along to the next v-max, or the mini RL speed day that hopefully is happening in the near future

I'd love to know the date of that one once it's set, especially if Phelix is there with his KITT.

MOD

Congratulations on your great run! Either you have more horsepower than what your tuner claims, or others have less than what they think

A 285/30 tire will have a diameter (standstill) of 24.7 inches whereas a 295/30 will have a diameter of 25.0 inches. In kph/1000 rpm terms, it translates to 28.8mph/1000 rpm (46.3kph), vs. 28.5 mph (48.5 kph) with the 285s. This will give you about a couple of mph more at 7k RPMs.

That would be great.. Unfortunately we don't have a good representation of modified 993tts doing such high speed events but one day I will put my engine on a 964 C2 and ship it to Brunters

Just in case you would like some data to compare, Woodster's 996TT did 200-300kph in 22.5 seconds and 0.8755 miles (4622 feet).

I would love to, please keep me posted. Though I suspect you could be a bad influence - I've already spend much of the afternoon wondering what it would feel like to crack the double ton in a 993!

First thing you'd feel is a *very* light wallet.
