Default Super cheap Turbo S

I don't know anything about this car other than what is in the ad, but it sure is interesting. Sure it is not original, but who cares at that price?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RARE-...em110229870520

Edit: vin appears to be 96 c2, but it sure looks like a good effort to make a turbo S. Most copies don't have all of the leather, the carbon, the varios S logo pieces, etc. Pretty cool looking copy IMHI for that money.

I would be wary of a seller who cannot even spell "fair" right (the car is priced at a "fare" price, as the seller put it). And yes, this price is rather low...something isn't quite right.

its a 96-thats why its so low- they only made TTS's in 98 so this one is cobbled together. that means its not worth
anything near what a 98 TTS is worth.
Its like finding a 1952 Joe Montana Rookie card.

OG - in the US there were no turbos sold as '98s. The TTS was a '97.

The ad seems very misleading. I don't see where he actually comes out and says that the car is based on a C2 or is not a real Turbo S.

In my experiance most of the cars that have thousands of pounds/dollars spent on them are usually cars with a story, usually cheap repaired salvage, who would spend level money doing all those changes to a turbo which would if as described be a nice car anyway, not inferring this car has been repaired just generalising imo.

He does say that you can have the benefits of an S without spending the $. Which would make you think its not a real S but optioned (not "factory option" per se, but optioned nonetheless.) Either way - someone spent a lot of $ on this car to get it where it is. I think it looks pretty sweet. That FVD IC is ~5g, right there.

Yeah, I am just pointing out that there was a lot of expense made on that car. The other copies I've seen have cheaped out a lot. This guy has the leather vents, *****, the leather and turbo S door threshold, the turbo S front carpet, the turbo S script carbon dash, and on and on, plus I like the performance mods: suspension and IC. If, on top of that, it has only 22k miles and is not salvage or storied, it is pretty cool.

I wonder if he tore apart a real salvaged Turbo S and put the pieces onto a C2S.

Someone spent a lot of coin on this car both at the point of ordering it new and later. Not sure if its worth $77K but it does have a lot of nice stuff done to it.

I agree that the car seems to be very nice; however, I am missing the part of the description in which he actually states that the car is not a Turbo S. He insinuates it by mentioning the benefits of a TTS at TT prices, am I missing something?

Won't go as far as saying its mis-leading. It does have some very nice upgrades as others have said, but cost never equals value w/go fast stuff unfortunatly.

Isn't the TTS supposed to have sport seats?
