Most readers come with a list and I think they are fairly standard codes. What do you have and I'll give you what's on my list?

I just bought "993 the essential companion". It has the fault codes with a generic OBD2 scanner and with a Bosch 9288. I will try to get them onto an Excel sheet to post here. BTW this is a very good book to read....

I also bought that scanner from Harbor Freight (works as designed), but as I recall, the booklet only covers the "generic" codes... none of the Porsche-specific codes.

Go here and just enter the code, it will display what the code means for each manufacturer.

http://www.iequus.com/support/obd2_definitions.php

i.e. P1691, P1441, etc.
