I drove Blackie today and marvel at how easy it is to drive the 3.8. Heading home the entry to the toll road is a very long 180 degree sweeper. There's enough camber in the road so it is sporting to feel the side load on the car when it's pushed. It's my daily reward just to work on this sweeper, and I suppose I've driven it over two hundred times but not that often in the turbo. But today would be different.

As I waited at the light to enter my closed road course I mean my entry on ramp, I saw a jaw dropping blinged out Silver 996 GT2 pull behind me. Well, what would you be thinking, huh? My question was answered with a glance in my rear view mirror, the driver was smiling. I know what he's thinking...humm 993 turbo with wing ... let see maybe 450 hp BUT all the internet and magazines prove the GT2 has the advantage of lighter and not hampered with the all wheel drive. Jimmy's thinking, he's overconfident, unless it's Walter Rohl driving and I know it isn't, it's a mortal so this will be interesting. The advantage of all wheel drive is immediately apparent and the gap widens at the initial entry. He's falling behind and I'm pushing more, a quick glance and I'm pulling cars on him as the car wants understeer a little. I hit the exit point perfect and glance again. He's on it but he's shrinking. I slow down and give a wave and he returns the gesture and shakes his head. Naw, this car isn't fussy.
