Steering wheel has to come off. Remember to disengage the battery.

Do a search... it could just be the bulb or it could be part of the circuitry. One's easy to fix, the other not.

Mine was just a bulb. It was very dim all of a sudden, working, but very dim.

Changed bulb and all was back to normal!

You don't need to remove the steering wheel to get it out, you could loosen the padded dash top which gives you the little bit of extra room you need. I've taken mine out several times in the past this way and not had a problem, saves the hassle of the airbag and possibly damage to the slip ring.

My sender boost gauge doesn't flash .8 when I start up, I only get that under full boost.

When I purchased my car the electronic boost gauge showed .2 most of the time even at idle, so I replaced the gauge and crush washer and all was sorted. (After the initial install I was still not getting a reading, but it turned out that the new sender was faulty, but this is a pretty simple DIY.)

There are instructions on here, do a search for faulty boost sender.

Good luck.

You meant the sensor, not the gauge, right?

correct, I meant the sensor, been a long day. I've been at Apple learning about the new podcast producer server software.
