Woooooohooooo!

Well, technically, the woman whose house I live in owns a TT (my mother, I'm a senior in high school). But we've been searching for a long time now, and it's finally come to fruition. For the past year and a half I've felt a bit voyeuristic while browsing and posting on this forum, but now I truly fit in!

The car is Midnight blue over cashmere with 36,500 miles. I don't have any interior photos at the moment, but it has a carbon-rim three spoke wheel, aluminum/carbon shifter and handbrake, and a cup holder where the cassette holder and coin tray used to be. The car has M030 suspension with Bilstein HDs and no other mods.

The four pictures I have are pretty crappy, but the car's been sitting at a mechanic for the past two weeks and then on a truck for about 1,500 miles, so it's a bit filthy. The Prius in the background is "our other car..." Here they are:

Prius and 993tt - a study in contrasts!

Enjoy it but keep the shiny side up. Had I had access to that sort of car at your age I probably wouldn't be alive today. You can get yourself into big trouble very very quickly with the laws of the land and/or the laws of physics in that car; be sure to treat it with due respect.

Thanks for all the support and warning, guys. I appreciate that you're all looking out for me. I have the potential to get into trouble pretty quickly every weekend in the aircraft I fly, so I'd say I've been forced to grow up more than most of my peers. I'm also applying to a US service academy, so the laws of the land have much greater consequences than they do for most others. I haven't driven stick in about three years, so at this point the car is still a bit new and almost intimidating, one doesn't have to worry about me yet.

Very cool. I think the car may be a bit of a "just got a new job that doesn't require commuting, want something fun!" car. She wanted something fast, I suggested Porsche, none of the 997s floated her boat but she fell in love with the 993TT. It wasn't convincing so much as guiding.

WHB congrats on the purchase! I think I saw that one FS on the Pelican board out of GA. Looks great! Honestly in reading your posts, I would have figured you to be about 10 yrs older. That really speaks alot about you in a good way!
