Default 993 TT Vs. GT3

I was thinking about buying either a 993 Turbo or a 996 GT3 and was wonder how the two would match up. I have seen and rode in several GT3's and know how impressive the perfomance is on them. I've never rode in a 933 TT so I don't know how the car feels or performs. Anyone car to share their insight between the two cars? Consider some track use and driving on the streets.

street: TT more fun, more tq., more comfort
track: GT3, more fun, higher rpm, less comfort

I would HATE to be in your shoes trying to decide!

The tt is a totally different car. The interior is more dated which can be good.
4wd as opposed to 2wd
tt looks better I think as the gt3 is a narrow body 996.
tt is better for trips, gt3 can be harsh
gt3 for shorter bonzai runs at 2 a.m.

tt is a monster of a car

The only way to handle this decision is to buy 1 of each then you can keep trading off trying to decide which one you like better.

No matter car you buy you will be satisfied. The GT3 it's not for everyone specially if you intend to daily drive it. The TT it's a pleasure for everyone. However the hardcore fan will prefer the GT3.

Funny, I was going to post a similar situation! I am leaning towards the TT since I would not do any track events and I think it will hold its value better if you were buying today.

since you posted this on the turbo board...go turbo or go home. If you love power and great looks get the tt. that is all I will say for, now. the gt3 board probably says the opposite.

I have a 993NA so here's some unbiassed advice from someone who contemplated a 993TT and a 996 GT3:

993TT is a very comfortable powerful car but unless you're on boost, there's not much power available. No burnouts with these puppies so you better have access to open roads if you want to get your kicks.

996 GT3 is a very raw powerful car with good low end torque. Probably the best street/track car out of the box but you pay for performance with confort.

I'm relatively new to motorsports so I'm putting together a 993 NA track car to learn on. Once my skills get sharppened on the track, the plan is to trade my street 993 for a 7-GT3. To me, the G3 is the ultimate 911.

I assume that if they preferred the tt they would have bought one instead of the gt3 (since the price is about the same). Also whatever car one has 993 tt or gt3 they are both such great cars unless you own both you probably love the one you have so much that you would recommend it over the other. if not why don't the gt3 guys sell and buy a tt?

Ok. But a GT3 guy don't necessarily depreciate the 993 TT. I agree with what you said in the beginning. For instance, I wouldn't trade mine over a TT but I only have good things to say about it. Just different concepts that follow different directions like Yunggrazhoppa said.
Listen to this, I am after a particularly TT for several years. I know a man that lives near me that has a TT in his garage since the 90's. The story was: he had an accident when the car was brand new. He rolled it. The car never saw the light again. Once in a while I go see the car and talk to the guy hoping that he sells me the car for an interesting price. Maybe one day it will be my barn find...

I know that only a 993 engine can worth up to 20k, but I had in mind lower values.
