That's $12K USD...Euro is strong now. I miss the days of the German Mark when the tables were reversed

If you collect all the points into the first post, it can be copied to the 993 DIY section.

Hi Kevin,

while checking several 993tt I came across one that had its engine changed in 2006. On the invoice from the Porsche dealer in Moers/Germany I read a total of 12500 EUR. The most expensive part was the long block for 8500 EUR. The rest was labor and smaller items, I think one turbocharger was also overhauled.
Also to me the price of 8500 EUR seemed very low, so I phoned the Porsche Dealer and asked him about the invoice. He confirmed everything and he also confirmed that a new long block is a factory rebuild engine including the heads, but without exhaust and intake system. The old block is taken by Porsche and the rebuild one installed. These prices are from 2006, to know prices today I would just phone your local porsche dealer and then you know best.
Bye bye
Andreas

Marc, the first post has been modified to encompass all of these. If somebody would like to adapt this list to N/A 993s, feel free!
