I am looking for pics of various options in mounting location and recommended boost gauge brand. This seems like one of those questions that gets asked very couple of years... sorry if this is a repeat. Maybe there is something new out there?
I have searched the forum for pics of installed boost gauges but most of the threads I found were so old the links to pics were dead.
I know the clock replacement is the most popular choice but what brand?
Greddy? https://rennlist.com/forums/showpost...2&postcount=25
HKS?
One variation I have seen a shot of is Steve's Ruf (or maybe this was Waldo?) using the left driver's side air vent (nice, btw). Andial version: https://rennlist.com/forums/showpost...32&postcount=3
Has anyone done anything else different?
I have a 930 style one where the clock is. For sale if you want it . 200
Andy, is this the VDO 2 bar model w/o tattle tail?
I was leaning towards the Andial gauge but it is not as easily visible as the clock position. So.. maybe yes.
I have the Andial one in the left vent. It's pretty frickn useless. You do NOT want to be looking down by your knee when this puppy comes on the boost!
I concur with Scott, and yes I had that Andial gauge in Waldo. The boost gauge is entertaining for about 10 minutes, but I suppose its a good diagnostic tool as well, for a less doofus-like owner.
