so did Ray cut you any kind of deal? I have heard he has mint cars and does not move much from his asking prices...

Thanks ca993

Ray didn't cut me much of a deal, however, he did take in my M5 in trade and the process went smoothly. This is my second Porsche purchase from Ray (first was 96 C4S) and in my opinion, it's worth paying a premium for his cars as I know how particular he is and I rather deal with someone I can trust.

That being said, it did hurt to pay as much as I did for this S, but it sure is clean and a perfect example of TTS.! The only thing the bummed me out, was, there is some oil leaking and the readiness test failed, so I'll be taking it to a Mechanic tomorrow, hopefully it's not a big deal.

Todd

Is it going to remain stock or will you be doing the mods you spoke of on the other thread you posted?

Not sure yet, given the low miles, I almost feel obligated to leave it stock, however, I will be installing the Billstein PSS9.

gorgeous car. use in best health.

my 2 cents, leave that thing stock, A TO Z. enjoy, put miles on it. but that color combo, that condition, if you dont over use it, it should hold value quite nicely...unless you modify it. lowering the suspension might be the exception.

congrats.

The shocks on a 993 are gone in 10K miles or a couple years -PSS9s are a great upgrade and an easy return to stock- you should put on the TRG adjustable sways and new droplinks too.
then set to ROW height-Easy to put all that back to stock. If you stay stock at least change the dampers. They are probably shot and your just bouncing around on your springs. When I took the dampers off my TT they could be compressed with my hands. at 30K miles. If your gonna drive it its almost dangerous to leave the old shocks on.

Amazing car!

Does it have the dimming rear mirror and rain sensor, if so can you post a picture of them taken from within the car. I'm trying to work out the correct positioning of the rain sensor, in relation to the mirror.

Thumbs up

Hey Todd

My 97 tt came on the same truck as your car, as a matter of fact, I backed your car off to help the driver get to mine. I rember thinking to myself, I wonder where this one is going. The carbon fiber interior was realy sharp. Good luck with your new toy!
