Graeme,
You're never going to be able to drive that thing correctly! - The steering wheel is on the wrong side. Why don't you ship it to me in the States so that you don't hurt yourself

Graeme,

a fantastic car - friend of mine has a 98 GT2 in red, you are a lucky man!
Re the paint: my 993tt is oceanblue as well - it is a great colour for that car

Btw: what is the homepage of the person you dealt with?

Cheers,
Nils

Their reply about time it got driven properly) When the deal did not go through with Mike, Vic got on the phone to Tom and said you better hurry up and sort my friend out a car. Incidentaly the picture on Toms site is of Mike's car. There were three available, a midnight 96 GT2 low miles but the guy selling keeps moving his price to Tom, another evo 11000 kilometres with no A/C in midnight that has now been sold and the one I bought in Ocean Blue. I would not want one without A/C. Tom had two other guys on this car. Vic said give Graeme first shout if its good he'll buy it and if not he won't. Tom came to Silverstone Saturday, no deposit necessary funds will be transferred tomorrow. Tom's thrown a new set of Schroth belts in with the deal and of course the diff will be sorted out. I would have no hesitation in recommending H&S, Vic has bought four cars from him over the years and I certainly would buy one again from him if I was in the market. He is very like minded in the sense that the kettles do not hold any interest for him much like they don't for us. Each to their own though. Tom's coming to Silverstone for a track day in August, said would I give him a few tips. I laughed and said I bet I won't teach you anything new. yours still smiling, Graeme
Graeme, good to meet you at Silverstone on Saturday and hear of your impending purchase. After owning one for three years they really are amazing car's that are only upstaged by one Porsche, albeit a big mid engined kettle!

Whilst it sounds like you've bought a good 'un, I'd always advise an independent inspection on any lightweight Porsche bought through a dealer, whoever it may be.

Enjoy the GT2 and see you soon on track.

John

Thanks John, likewise. Hope to see you on the 21st ?
No worries Mike thank you for concern over LHD. I've been practising in a LHD F150 Lightning pickup for four years as my daily driver so all should be well.
p.s. John if you could find me a mid engined kettle for same money and in black I might be tempted

Hi Graeme,

Congrats, this GT2 is stunning.
And I know what I say, because
"Tom had two other guys on this car"
I was one of them...

Keep smiling, I hope to have the chance to find another one and meet you on a track up&down Europe soon.

All the best,
Paolo

Yesterday there was an auction here in Germany where a 95 GT2 that was not ready to drive was sold.

Only 169,700 Euros incl VAT and it would have been yours...

It seemed to be modified by RS-tuning. At least I saw a non-stock IC.

Graeme, awesome car!

Have seen it at Fearnsport a few times recently, colour really works in the flesh.
Andy has recently sold my 996 GT2, having looked after it during my ownership.
Was also there yesterday, having a geo setup on the "flymo".

Have a busy event calender over the next couple of weeks..

Silverstone GP on tuesday (eve session with Goldtrack).. shakedown

Next weekend am off to Nordschleife on Sat/Sun then an RMA day at Spa on the bank holiday monday.

Then the following weekend back to the Nordschleife for another 2 days.

Cheers
Rob

thanks Rob,
I'll be at silverstone during the day, if you're about come and say hello. Quite a few mates going, 964RS, testarossa, Murcielago, 430, Vic C. Need to speak to Andy tomorrow and find out where he is with the car.

Will search you out!
Am heading to Andys about 2.30 for some SRF for the RS (he had run out on Sat). Then will try and coax Melindi into giving me the last hour of the day session, as well as evening.

Last time I saw Vic, was at Spa on the in June.. he was missing his Agent orange GT2, hope he's got it fixed ok.

Pic of the "flymo"..
