996TT wheels with PCCB's on a 993TT
Does anyone know if one can put 996TT wheels with PCCB's on a 993TT? I am modding my 993TT this winter (including a Proto 3.8L/700HP conversion), and I would like to put 996TT wheels with PCCB's on it. The car won't be tracked and I love the PCCB's for the street (I have them on my 996TSCab with EVO's GT700 upgrade and love them), plus the 996TT rims can handle 295's in back (up from stock 285's).
Thanks.

Hey,
The 996tt wheels will fit, the PCCB's will not. However, if you feel the need to upgrade the brakes there are other viable options. Brembo makes kits for the 993TT; 4, 6 or 8 piston calipers depending on wheel size. Stoptech also makes a kit. Good luck with the upgrades!

Do you know if any "kit" is needed to fit them or can they be a direct replacement?

PCCB's from a 996tt are NOT direct replacement. Unless someone somewhere managed to make special PCCB rotors and caliper adapters for a 993tt. From my research I could not find any feasable or logical way to retrofit PCCB calipers and rotors to a 993tt. Now, with a 15k euro budget almost anything can be done with your brakes!!!

The problem is that the 996tt front calipers mount on the rear of the steering knuckle. The 993tt calipers mount in front. Even with an adapter you would have to mount the 996tt calipers upside down with the bleeder screws pointing down (not good), or reverse sides and install them inside out (also not good). This is only with the Porsche calipers, You could easliy use brembo GT calipers instead and make them fit. I believe ViperBob tried finding a way to do this a while back and it could not be done. Maybe he will chime in and explain it better.
