Default Good Source for Workshop Manuals?

Hi Guys,

I've been searching eBay and other sites from Google trying to find a proper set of Workshop manuals for the 993 TT.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would prefer an electronic copy on CD/DVD that has search capability.. If this doesnt exist for the 993, then paper copy will do...

Any help would be appreciated.

Well good luck as far as the GT2 goes. Perhaps contact some mo-sports people? If someone has the manuals in electronic form, perhaps a PM would be in order?

Thanks! That was one of the sites that I found through the Google searching. I was hoping there was an electronic version somewhere, but so far I havent found it.. (I did see people on eBay selling them, but wanted to know if anyone actually had a reliable source).

You can download one here for your 993TT or ANY Porsche model. Buy the entire workshop manual electronically (.PDF) or only pay for and download the section you need. You can even purchase wiring diagrams if needed. Up to date TSB's are here also.

Sorry....got the URL wrong - should work now

Go to the link I posted below...GT2 info is data is contained within the standard "Turbo" model technical documents.

WOW! $110.00 a section and 10 sections. Anyone know if these PDF's can be saved to a disk? I would buy a section and then let someone "borrow" it if they also bought a section and let me "borrow" it.

I've actully bought shop manuals on CD through ebay before, and had good luck with that. Perhaps one of us should order from a seller, and depending on the image quality arange a group buy? But I haven't been able to figure out whether there is a Turbo manual itself, or just a supplement. Perhaps somebody's tech has a manual on CD that could be "borrowed?" That could then be "lent" to Rennlisters...

I actually just found this: http://www.usfreeads.com/322224-cls.html

I sent them an email inquiring about 993 and 993 Turbo manuals. It should be cheaper than the quoted $46 for just those two. I love their disclaimer:

"OF Course, We All Understand that these CD versions of shop manuals/parts catalogs are provided "exclusively for the use of current owners of the hardcopy manuals" who wish to avoid damage to their printed manuals in the workshop environment. We charge for our time and materials consumed in the conversion of "your originals" to archival media, NOT for any information or materials contained in any documents converted to portable CDrom media."

I think their email is an auto reply. They keep sending me back some sales pitch for 944 manuals.

Remember, the manuals are cumulative. You need at the very least the 964 and 993 NA and the 993 TT manuals. To really get all the info you need, you basically have to get the 911 manuals from 65 onwards which is about 28 volumes. All of these sets are out of print and getting very hard to procure.

Our factory Porsche manuals are not cumulative. For a workshop manual for a 993TT to make sense, a 964NA manual is not required. Additionally, all workshop manuals including the volumes you referred to are available for download from the Porsche Tech site link posted above. Inexpensive as someone already pointed out however, they definitely are not.
