Jussi, I really am digging this, but if ultimate aero is the purpose, wouldn't this be a better choice?

This is great stuff.

Here is a picture of a Swedish 930 with Fiat Coupé headlamps.

That very small headlight version might be from Strosek.. I don't like their style to tune Porsches, too wierd..

That yellow car is from Gemballa.. my opinion is that it is too flat already and out of "Porsche style" and really looks like Mitsubishi

Also that with Fiat lights.. too flat from my opinion.
It is very good looking car but not good looking 911. 911 is so classic and well known model that I have to be careful not to change its look too much..

Of course those flat nose version Porsches have benefit with drag coefficient but I want to keep balance between lowering Cd and looking still good and "Porsche stylish".. just my opinion, don't shoot me

But know when lowering Cd from frontal area, does it effect also negatively to front downforce because air going over it more smoothly?

Then another question: What is the function of central, big air hole on the front? Smaller side holes give air to oil coolers but that central one is there just for look? Maybe closing that would get better aero effect?

IMHO it would look strange if the center opening was blocked off. Might help aerodynamics but would be too big an aesthetic compromise.

I make no claims on being an expert when it comes to aerodynamics, but I would suspect that blocking the center opening would increase the equivalet flat plate area, thus causing an increase in drag.

Jussi, maybe a bit late but why don't use the 997 facelift headlights? Those are even more flat.

Jussi, you're quite crazy with your need for speed

Ps. in the beginning of June (this year will be 8th of June) perhaps try attending this One Mile Challenge in Estonia: http://www.tqhq.ee/omc/?lang=eng&page=info

Yes, I know, I think that all finnish car-related people are little (or more) crazy.. too long and dark winter times

Let's see if I'll get all works done and have time to visit in Estonia. Last september my own "One Mile Challenge"(1582m) at pori airport was 312km/h and 26.5s...
So I wouldn't be the last one, at least

And back to the original topic:
Here are my new pictures with photoshopped "welding/painting"

WOW! That came out great. I'm gonna have to do a side-by-side to tell the difference. Very well done.

Well done Jussi, it actually looks pretty good doesn't it - subtle yet funkily different
But don't listen to me, I (briefly) thought the 997t front end looked good
