They are supposed to only have 5K miles on them. If the cats are indeed bad they are a piece of crap!!

Before you get too upset I recommend confirmation by a shop with an exhaust analyzer.

Ignacio, I told you that the diameter of the 100 cell cats that you have are to small.

The CFM at 1.2 bars is a bottleneck for your smaller cats.. Forget the fact that they are 100 cell cartridges. It's the diameter of the cat cartridge. Like I said these cats are smaller than factory units.. You can only flow so much thru a smaller straw.

I passed emissions when I first got the car but I don't know if this means anything. The CEL came on Saturday (4/7/2007). I met Kevin the following night and we cleared the code. Well this past Saturday night I was coming home after dinner and the CEL came on again. Both times this has occurred I was cruising home. I would bet that it will show the same codes again.

Who knows maybe it's the GIAC tuning the previous owner went with? If so it may be time to scrap that crap as well.

Kevin: Yeah I know you told me. It's just a PITA to have a cell pop up every f*@#*ing weekend.

So I'm assuming the 100 cell cats I have are fine. They just don't work well with the GIAC tuning the previous owner went with and the K16/24's. I'm assuming that the 100 cell cats would work on a stock 993 turbo.

I'll be contacting you later on today for a set of your cats!

Ignacio regardless of the programming, if you are running 1.2 bars and CFM you will trip the CEL with those cats. If you were to run my programming you would most likely trip the CEL at 1.2bars.. The cats would be fine at stock boost levels and most likely at 1bar..
