Default Turbo oil feed

A quick question for you guys. I always thought the 993tt ran a sytem/ pump that kept oil running through it's turbo bearings for a couple of minutes after shut down. Is this correct? I was also wondering if they had carried it forward to the newer twin turbo cars? Cheers

No, the pump stops when the engine does.

The system that you have mentioned only happens in the 944T..

That is why it is so important to keep the car on for two minutes and idle her down.

Agree. If you have been driving the car pretty hard, then you should let it idle for ~2 minutes before shut-down. If you haven't been driving into boost, then you should be safe to shut-down after 60 seconds or so. I did that for years when I had a K27HF on my car and it lived fine. Even with my Garrett GT turbo it's been fine
