Default Ruf CTR3 Launch

Sorry guys, the pictures are not great, but here you go...

It was a great event. Ruf opened their new factory in Bahrain which is located right next to the F1 circuit. They also launched the CTR3..... The back is very GT1 and so is the scoop on top of the roof. The front is 997 carrera. 700hp, 375kms... enjoy...

Thanks for posting Ziad.
I will reserve my comments for when I see it live. I am not very impressed. Is this a Supercar, a street car, a showoff car, a purpose built car? The interior is painful to look at.

I bet the performance and handling will be outstanding though.... The Alzen brothers are right around the corner with their Cayman turbocharged race car despite the express communication from Porsche Motorsports that they will not support the Cayman platform in any races.

The Alzen beast will definitely have a street spin-off model, and then catch me if you can. The race is on!

Ziad, looks like it is Julian in white there in pic 2? .

Whoa! Those oval ducts inside the overly pronounced wheels arches, horizontal vent in between, slats on the engine cover, that tail.... i'm sure it's all for a reason but i find the car lacks congruity in design. The front is pure and the rear is a mess IMO. I'm sure it will be insanely fast though.

I'd rather build up my TT and buy and F430 to go with it..... IF i had the $$$.

I think the interior is high quailty but the rest looks like a cut n shut of a Cayman and a 997.

Do you think the yellow bird is famous because of its refined and beautiful looks or more because of his performance?

Do you think the CTR2 was the most aesthetic car the days it was released?

The yellow bird is absolutely stunning.

But, back on topic. I'm not a huge fan of the current lineup of Rufs, but I imagine it would absolutely pull. I didn't know people were getting those numbers (700hp) out of Caymans...

Both-
The yellow bird was refined and beautiful from day one. Form and function-911 platform+Ruf mods, mostly underneath. Every nook and cranny had a purpose. This car is a body panel salad gone wrong-with a poser interior as well-
