964 vs 993 turbo pros and cons of puchasing

I had a 1992 and now own a 1996 turbo. The 92 was a less refined car. You get more feedback with the 964 IMHO. I prefer the 993 for the looks and with the mods I have done it is more powerful. The 964 I had was just more raw if that makes any sense. I had the cats removed and a boost controller installed. There was a moment of lag then you were just shot out of a cannon. It FELT faster than the 993 and it may have been, I never had it on a dyno.
With the mods I have on the 993 I have over 500hp. It was on a dyno. There is much less lag time so you don't get the exact "launch" feeling.
I guess it depends on what is most important to you. Looks, performance, or a combo of both. I have had no maint. issues with either. Tough choice, but a fun one.
