Does anybody used these wheels on their 993TT??
They seem VERY light...
Anybody have pictures?

I've only seen them on a boxter. Heard good things about them. You may have to skip over to another forum (964 or 993) to get feedback.

Is there such a thing as too heavy of a car for the Volks?? Seem lots of their applications are for Japanese cars.

Dont know. I just received a mail from Tirerack with some potential rebates on wheels (have'nt seen any...). These wheels are proposed for our car. I drilled down and notice that at 18lbs, they are 3-4 lbs lighter than OEM wheels I think...

^^^^^^
I like the way it looks.

Can you share wheel sizes/specs and tire sizes you're running?

TIA

I have run Volks on an S4. They are incredibly strong and exceptionally light. I hit a pothole hard enough to blow a KW coilover, but the wheel was still straight!

It is a little hard to tell from the pix - are there center caps on those? Looks like they may be plain in the same color as the wheel. Assume stock P-caps don't fit? They look great - I'm real tempted

Volk Racing, the premier wheel line from RAYS Engineering, incorporates all of RAYS' top-level technologies learned in Super GT, Touring Car racing, Lemans and Formula One motorsports into its trend-setting designs.

Volk Racing wheel styles feature optimum caliper clearance, increased lip size, and a wide combination of face contours to perfectly match the desired application.

The wheels also feature RAYS Original Forging Technology (RM8000), a versatile process that creates a balance of light weight, strength, durability and rigidity (the ability to resist deformation during high cornering loads). RAYS independently developed and patented the RM8000 forging process and designed the machines used to perfect the flow of metal without cut-off ensuring structural integrity is maintained in the final wheel design. An RM forged Volk Racing wheel is first pressed utilizing millions of pounds under a mold to achieve its basic shape. Then the RM8000 forging technology is used to uniformly press the wheel from the top, bottom, and sides in a high-speed spinning process that extrudes the wheel into its final form with only minimal machining required (further promoting structural integrity).

Design, development, testing and manufacturing of Volk Racing wheels is all done in-house at RAYS Engineering resulting in a product that not only conforms to RAYS' strict internal JWL + R standards but also meets RAYS' goals toward the advancement of the "motorsports culture" and the satisfaction of high-end customers who demand wheels that are strong and light - Volk Racing Wheels.

Volks are among the strongest, lightest wheels you can buy. They have been in their lineup for 11 years with over 300,000 units sold. For those that don't know, Beside OZ and BBS Rays is one of the only wheel manufacturers left designing, manufacturing, and marketing their own wheels. As a result attention to QC is excellent.

Here's a really cool 6 minute video on the wheel and its production:

http://www.volkwheels.ca/volk-racing-video-p-5507.html

Here's a random sampling of Porsche fitment weights:

18X8.5 5-130 ET49 = 18 lb
18X11 5-130 ET41 = 20.5 lb
19X8.5 5-130 ET52 = 20 lb
19X11 5-130 ET45 = 21.5 lb
18X10 5-130 ET59 = 19.5 lb

Please feel free to email, call, or pm me with any questions.

Damon,

Just saw this post, could they be used to replace 19 RUF wheels? I would like to get rid of the spacers.
