Thanks for posting that vid, brings back good memories from this past summer when I went to the Historics for the first time. It is amazing walking around the paddock being able to see all these cars up close and personal, mechanicals exposed, and to have 935s and the like drive right by you as if it were completely normal! My boss gets free hospitality tent tix so we got a great vantage point and got to hear all the cars screaming down the front straight into turns 1 and 2, and got to see all the 935s spit flames as they lifted for turn 4. Everyone here should go to the historics at least once if you get the chance, it is worth it! And these guys aren't out for a Sunday drive either! The race that all the 935s were in was the last of the weekend, and man were they racing! The red Momo 935 was battling it out w/ one of the Chevy-powered Dekron Monzas for the lead, several lead changes, and the 935 won by a hair in the end. Not to mention watching (and hearing!!!) the current Toyota F1 car shatter the track record repeatedly, and see it up close w/ all the panels off and instruments hooked up . . . thanks again for posting that!

Fenton - Are you the guy I ran into a year or so ago in Hidden Valley driving the Aventura (sp) green 993TT? I was in my red C4S at the time. If so, welcome aboard.

Cool

Rob Fenton lives in nearby Newbury Park, and he invited me over to see his 934 (his 935 is up in San Jose getting engine work done). His 993TT is a beautiful, and unusual Adventurine Green, and Scott he remembered that meeting with you when you still had the C4S. That was how he learned about Rennlist.

Here are a few photos of the 934... it has an serious racing history (Milt Minter, among others), but its a non-factory car built on a 930 platform. He started it and warmed it up, and took it for a short drive to get all the parts moving. Awesome sound. Gawd, I'd love to drive that thing.....

Thanks for posting the video. Brings back memories seeing the fire breathing 935's at Riverside and Laguna Seca. We're talking trash at 600 hp, How about dialing up 900 hp in a 2250 lbs car. They didn't need no stinkin traction control. What's a little lag, just keep it pointed straight. The late Charile McAdam (newspaper publisher) had a 935 DP that I got to sample a few years ago. That is the ultamate 60-130 car. . .

Off topic:Jimmy, I hear you're going to put a 3.8tt in a Prius and rule the LA car pool lanes.

Don,
I'm looking on ebay for the chain steering wheel with the air bag, so I can drive handcuffed,....safely. Please don't start on the Pruis thing...you know I can't contain myself from trashing those wanabe rebodied forklifts green phoney car pool thiefs. I just hope everyone recycles their 700lbs of batteries in the local land fills ...or abondon them in Tijuana. Hey, where's all the GM electric cars..Huh? Non-car people should take the bus and let the car pool lanes for Enzo;s Paganni's, and everything over 500 hp. Sorry for the rant.

Hi Rob - Good to see you finally made it to Rennlist and a member at that . You should try and make it to some of our local outings. Stay tuned as there is always some event happening locally, if not Steve will find something for us to do .

Scott
