Default How Is The 993GT2 Compare To The 996GT2

Never have the pleasure of seeing a real 993GT2 in action. But having own a 996GT2, I am curious as to how the two models compare to each other on the street and track.

Had both, 996GT2 was the 911 I've liked least, sold it after two months. 993GT2 is the best 911 I've owned.

In comarison the 996GT2 is more of a RWD turbo S than the bespoke lightweight homologation special that is the 993GT2.

996 is a GT2 from the marketing boys.

The purpose of this thread is to compare the facts from the performance perspective on paper and real life. Not subjective opinion regarding feels, preference, values, exclusivity ect., ect. . Is the 993GT2 better than 996GT2 performance wise?
Of course most here would prefer to own a rare 993GT2 over a the 996GT2.

The only 996 based car that I really like is the 996GT2, it is nimble and fast,(and this is coming from a tt aircooled addict!!!), great, modern, machine. Sonny.
