Default 993tt interior almost done...

Hey guys,
Interior is almost done at this point. Added new pedals, mats, techart steering wheel, airbag with silver crest, MY'02 shifter, and gt3 seats. Just need some red belts and she'll be close to done!

Thanks to Gert, Alvin and others for all the parts.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Those gt3 seats make a big difference, even over my factory sport seats. nice and cozy and much lighter too.

What else should I do after the belts? any suggestions?

AiRick - love the look. Almost identical to mine, but in yellow. nice!

Kevin,

A great look. Makes the interior much more up-to-date in appearance. I need to hear how you like the seats after a bunch more seat time. How do your like the steering wheel?

Did you do the matching e-bake handle as well? I can't see it in the photos?

Do you mind if I ask how much the seats cost? I think those would look great in my SY C2S. My sport seats just might have to go up for sale.

Thanks,

Rick

Do you have any special technique to remove the original rubbers pads on the pedals? I bought some aftermarket aluminum pedals quite some time ago, but havent been able to get the originals off in order to drill into the plate. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks before hand,

Mike

Thanks Hal.

Didn't install the e-brake handle yet, but that's on my Xmas list!

Love the steering wheel. thicker than stock and more ergonomically correct, but not cheap.

If we get together for this drive later this month, I'll have a much better perspective on the seats. Like them a lot so far and I haven't been able to really notice much difference in the ride quality, but i've only put on a few miles thus far. Was expecting a bit rougher ride with less cushion and lighter seats but so far so good.

Rick,

Funny! Guess that's a positive reaction?!

Seats I bought used from Alvin. He had a set he was getting rid of cheap and had all of the brackets and hardware for a straight swap. I ended up buying a new set of inserts from gert and now the seats look like new.

I decided to keep my sport seats. Those are worth some $$$ and if I ever sell the car I want to be able to return it to stock should the next buyer want that.

I've seen these GT3 seats come up for sale every once in a while. Typically in the $2-$3K range.

Hope this helps.

Mike,
wish I could be more helpful. I had these installed by my local shop with the steering wheel and shift ****. All pretty straight forward stuff, but wanted it done right the first time and I'm a disaster with a wrench!

Maybe others who have done it before can chime in?

That just might be the route I'm going to take. Just leave it to the pros and have it done right.
