Will 996TT wheels fit on our 993TT with no wheel spacers?
Hey guys,
I know someone selling a set of their new 996TT wheels (18x11) and (18x8) with no tires for about $2K...is this a good price and will these fit our cars without spacers? I know the fronts will work but I'm not sure about the rears.
I don't want to have to put spacers on the rears so if they won't work and someone else is interested in these wheels, send me a PM and I will put you in contact with the person. Thanks in advance.

Hey Vinnie - how is life in New Jersey? I was able to get a pair of 996TT wheels and tires that were removed new at the dealer for around $2,000 about 18 months back. I run these on my 930 and I really like them - a big improvement from the stock 16s that the 930 came with. I recently saw an almost new set for sale on Pelican for $1800 including tires and center caps. I almost bought them as i need to replace my tires soon and it will be $1200 just for that.

I just picked up a set of 996TT wheels from Wheel Enhancement - $1900 for the wheels (Brand New takeoffs in PERFECT condition), and they were able to get a set of Michelin Pilot sports and get them to me for the same price as Tirerack. They then were mounted and balanced so when they arrived, they were ready to install.

Bill,
The cold and snow has just been too much over here...no chance to enjoy the cars and we're getting more white stuff tonight after 2 feet of it last week...geez this is Jersey not the olorado Rockies! I wish I were in the Bay area now as I need a ride in all your toys! :-)

Vinnie,
The AWD versions might have an issue with the 295 size of the rears vs. the stock 285's that originally came with the vehicle. The rolling circumference of the front and rear tires are different causing a speed differential so that there's always some torque going to the front tires via the viscous coupling mechanism. I'm not sure what the 295's will do to this setup.
Anybody want to take a stab at this one? I was considering the upgrade to the 996TT's tires/wheels and then put it on hold when I learned of this issue.
Thanks,
