I am soon to get my first p-car and could do with some advise please, I am looking to spend £45-£49k in England on either a 993tt or 996 cab c4, I can get late 996's with low miles but my heart loves the 993tt, and I think the 993tt will keep its value longer, this will be our fun car for keeping long term and we have two other vehicles for daily use. Also anyone in uk looking to sell? Thanks.

Tarquin, this is coming from an unbiased owner of an '83 911SC and I think you will find much more enjoyment in the 993TT. I would suggest finding good examples of both and giving them both a thorough test drive before you finalize your decision, but i'm almost positive after you do this you will want the 993.

Thanks
My friend got his Lambourghini Diablo two days ago and we went out in it today, wow is it quick!
I am going to do some test driving of p-cars over the next few weeks and will let you know how I got on.
The Lambourghini Diablo was great at 140mph but at 30mph was like a tractor.
Thanks again

I recenty purchased a 993TT, 1997. I have owned 5 porsches prior to this one. I also owned a Ferrari and a Lambo. The 993TT has surpassed my expectations. It truly is an every day supercar!
Good luck with you decision...

I reckon you are right, the 993 tt is a fantastic looking car, they seam to be rarer, I am going to start getting some test drives in as soon as possible. I think the long term resale value is better.
Is there anything serious to look out for?
I reckon this christmas is going to be the best.
Thanks
