Post Turbo 4 Car Cover

Due to someone putting a sledge hammer through my rear windscreen I need to locate my car to a more appropriate rural location and get a waterproof car cover for it. Anyone know of a high quality car cover made specifically for the TT available in the UK, I'm going to ask Porsche today but am curious to see if there are any specialist manufacturers out there.

thanks in advance

There are quite a few car cover manufacturers around - such as www.classicadditions.co.uk or www.covercar.com

I actually have one from Classic Additions. It is very good quality but is only semi-custom made for my car so is a slightly baggy fit. This is not a problem though.

Whatever you do, I would suggest you don't get a cover with 'PORSCHE' emblazoned across it. Think discreet.

Sorry to hear about this mindless vandalism by the way...

There is a company in the UK that custom make high quality car covers. the company is called Specialized Car Covers. There is also another company called Classic additions with a 100% waterproof, breathable cover. Their details are www.classicadditions.co.uk
Hope this helps....

Brilliant, these links are great, I'm going to order a custom fit outdoor cover today.

I can't believe what a beating my car has taken over the last few months. I need the front apron re-sprayed due to other cars simply parking into it! I need a new door skin due to someone swinging theirs into it, and a new rear windscreen because some builders working on a building above it wont admit to breaking it unless I can prove it!

For those UK owners who are still tired of the poor service from OPC's there's more bad news. Naturally I want the rear screen fitted by a pro i.e. Porsche. Unfortunatly they sub-contract the job out to Autoglass and charge the insurance company £200 more! For what?

It really is a struggle to find exceptional service at the moment. I have not met anyone has impressed me on their knowledge of the Turbo 4 in the south-east. These cars cost thousands to run each year and most garages I speak to treat you as a number, dont recognise you, dont follow things up, never suggest a smart cost saving measure etc. I always have to check that what I asked to be done is done and I always find something wrong. Perhaps Porsche is getting too retail now. I'd be interested to witnessthe service experience at Ferrari or Aston Martin.

I would seriously consider using www.jzmachtech.com - they are near Watford. I live in Croydon, i.e. round the other side of London but still use them. There are always one or two 993TT's there whenever I visit.

No affiliation, just a happy customer. Give them a call and speak to Jonas or Steve.
