I have had my car very low, look in this pic. I recently raised it to euro spec. Never rolled a fender, Unfortunately I do not know the exact offsets of the BBS wheels. The front tires wore out some of the plastic fender liner up front, but there are no issues anymore. I don't think there is any possible way to squeeze any more rubber on that car. Need to run some relatively agressive - camber to make it all fit.

No Don, the 996TT wheels fit perfectly. Nothing needed.... They are even cheaper than 993TT wheels as there are SOOOO many more 996tts, and so many of these guys that buy bling wheels. I saw a set of GREAT shape 996TT wheels sell for $800 recently.

A 993 handles pretty well on open roads with front tires up to 225 maybe 235 while there is virtually no limit (considering handling only) for the rear (on acceptable condition roads).
I experimented a GT2 with an EVO kit which had 255 front and 305 rear: grip was terrific but each irregularity of the road was a pain to compensate. We also considere it was an exotic setup since font tires were very large considerating rear ones.

I'm using 255x30x19 fronts and 305x25x19 rears. These tires are roughly the same overall diameter as the stock 18" tires. I have experienced no odd handling behavior with this setup... using Pirelli Rosso Assemitricos, and Ruf suspension, and the car is not particularly low.
