Viken, is that true for right-hand drive and/or UK cars? Although my headlights 'look' Litronic they don't produce the amount of light I'd expect. I recently went to Werk 1 and asked if they could a Litronic upgrade (they had not seen my car at this point) and they said they did not do (and never did) a right hand drive Litronic upgrade package as advertised in the T-equipment??

To my knowledge, all Turbo's had the Litronic headlights. It is not difficult to tell by looking at your headlights. The color of the low beam should be much whiter than that of the high beam and/or the fog light. If there is no such difference, you may not have the Litronic's.
As to their performance, I agree that they are not that great. However, they sure are a huge improvement over the standard Halogen lamps.

Mags,
To my knowledge, litronics were an option on UK Turbos. Because the whole mechanism should be self-levelling, the unit had to be factory-fitted. My turbo certainly doesn't have litronics. The Turbo 'S' cars had them as standard. John W is the renowned expert on these matters. If you search the archives in the 993 forum you will find a lot of useful information.

I think it was an option like the cat. It was listed as a code, but all US cars had them of course. I have never seen or heard of a turbo in the states without the lights. Then again I also know that AC was an option. I have had buddies in other countries confirm they were without AC. Crazy stuff! <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />
