This external WG setup had been done already back in year 2000 on the Gemballa 996TT, so I don't really see the news in this. IMO, most of what is written there is inaccurate, especially the power claims on the K16s.

Ca some one explain that when a WG is shut, it doesn´t matter if he mount an external one, the power he is finding i becouses his stock WG are opening and letting some boost away

Rickard, the issue in that post is trying to go around the factory programming with the installation of external gates.. The fact is, that when you use external gates, you lose some of the main reasons why you internal gates.. The shaft speed and "back on boost" is quicker. However, the negative is you can have the exhaust gases open the gates.. Thus leading to a reduction of power available for boost. Similar to a break away door.. Having the stiffer wastegate springs and genuine control of the actuators will give you better performance. I can't believe how far they wound up the stock K16's.. The ECU was definately adjusting for heat.. Running the K16's at those levels will definitely raise the charge air temps to levels where timing is being pulled.. Yeah he didn't HEAR knock.. Because the power was sucked out of the engine.

I like this part "The factory wastegate is restrictive and the flow of air is not able to be maximized. When you start increasing boost and going for more power, you can gain more HP by going to an external setup"
