Default 993 Turbo still pulls at the heart

Hello all,

Last week, I headed out to the harbourfront for some yummy dim sum and came back to find a note on the windshield of the car. At first, my heart skipped a beat because I thought somebody must have hit the car and left a note with their contact info. Fortunately, the note said:

"I've been admiring your car. We've been looking for one like this. If you ever want to sell, call us."

What a nice surprise to see a note like that on a 10 year old car! I did call him back and said that I wasn't planning on selling the car, however there are a few great places that sell 993 Turbos in Canada with low mileage. I also sent him to rennlist as the place to find great cars.

If the 993 Turbo was not such a beautiful car, I'd have a 997GT3 right now. Still debating whether to buy one and keep the 993 or sell the 993, get the GT3 and pick up a regular street car... I can't really afford either of the options, haha

Great story. For my wife it's a terrible thing because the 993TT still tugs on the wallet.

As well as the slow walkabout and quick camera-phone pic. You'd think people were seeing a Veyron, not a 10 year old Porsche...

I still find it amazing how well this car looks, drives and runs after 10 years. Yes, they can cost a lot to maintain if driven hard, but it still astounds me with the pace and reliability it demonstrates on the track and street.

I leave a Micro Fiber towel hanging from the door handle for people to wipe off the hand prints with

People can't believe mine is 10 years old.
