Post 993TT Boost Gauge Reading

I recently purchased a 993TT that was supposedly set at 1.1 bar as part of a turbo upgrade package done by Weissach in Vancouver. The digital boost gauge, however, never reads above 0.8. Does anyone know if this is a factory setting - meaning this is the highest this gauge will read or should I take the car to my mechanic to check the actual boost level? Thanks.

That is as high as the guage will read. It is limited by either the sender or the electronics - not sure which.

It is in the gauge. Just like the C2T it stops at .8. You will need to run an additional gauge if you want to see how high you are running. Andial sell the one that goes in your vent.

There is another one that replaces your clock as well.

And then there are the electronic ones.. ie, HKS, Greddy stuff.

Thanks guys - I figured that was the case. There is definitely more kick than in a standard TT, but I will have my tech check the boost level when I take it to his shop just to be sure.

I wish that they had continued to use the analog boost gauge as in the 930s. There is something about that little guage that is so fun to watch -
