Post CEL - Good News Update for Cat Bypass install

As promised, I wanted to post on update on my CEL after installing the Cat Bypass. As expected after the install, the CEL came on a and gave an O2 sensor error which I simply reset. It then came back on again after another 100+ miles of driving. After I reset it the second time (same error message), it has not turned back on with over another 500 miles of driving. So I guess the learning part of the ECU can be taught to live with what it sees as an error condition.

I have since had the ECU modified by Protomotive, and even though the CEL is 100% functioning with this ECU, I have yet to see this come back to haunt me.

How are you resetting the CEL? With just the key on/accelerator method or with an outside device? Thanks.

I just use my laptop with the ODB-2 software. It is GREAT so you can reset the light, check the codes, and a lot more. Cost was like $122 as I recall.
